New Sand Wash/Quarry Process Water Pumps, Slurry & Dosing Pumps
Equipment Supplied:
19 customised pump sets comprising of 3 Sydex Progressive Cavity long coupled pump sets, 9 Sydex Progressive Cavity closed coupled pump sets, 5 ISO pumps & 2 multi stage pump.
Doyle Pump & Engineering worked in collaboration with specialist industry consultant in the design and supply of purpose fit and sustainable pump solutions for a new sand wash/quarry plant.
Meeting the design brief, Doyle Pump & Engineering provided a detailed, complete hydraulic and engineering solution complete with detailed pipe sizing, technical data & CAD drawings.
The Situation
With a new sand wash/quarry plant to be built in Victoria, Doyle Pump & Engineering was involved in providing hydraulic and system design for pumps at the new plant. Our extensive industry application & knowledge successfully imparted into detailed hydraulic and engineering system design for all service & process water pumps, dosing pumps and slurry pumps.
Understanding the harsh conditions of the pumping environment, specific customer requirements and varying applications at the quarry, Team Doyle were able to meet the client’s brief and provide robust & reliable pumping solutions and input into pump control design.
The Recommendations & Solutions
- Design and propose fit for purpose Vertical Multistage pumps, ISO long & short coupled, heavy duty
end suction pumps for service water, with high efficiency electric motors. - Design and propose fit for purpose heavy duty progressive cavity pumps for process water supply,
with high specification electric motors. - Design and propose reliable, heavy duty progressive cavity pumps for pumping slurry, with high
specification motors. - Design and propose reliable, heavy duty progressive cavity pumps for dosing applications.
- Pump sets supplied to be mounted on 316 S/S base plates, where applicable, or hot dipped galvanised plates, to ensure long life, thus simplifying future maintenance.
- We recommended all pumps to be mounted with high specification and high efficiency motors to suit the harsh working environment.
The Outcome
Doyle Pump & Engineering supplied 19 customised water supply pump sets, comprising of ISO radial centrifugal pumps & Sydex specialised progressive cavity pumps for process water supply, vertical multi-stage pumps & progressive cavity pumps for dosing applications, & progressive cavity pumps for pumping slurry.
All pump sets were built to operate in the harsh pumping environment and to the specific installation requirements of the client.
